Katja, Charlie, Lu (12), Mila (2) and baby Leo. A Slovenian – French – German family, who enjoys beach time and outdoor activities such as camping, skiing, hiking, cycling, exploring national parks and more. We fell in love with slow overland travel, preferably spending our time in nature. Food & culinary experience is an important part of our trips, we do our best to travel sustainably and as ecologically as possible. You will not find us visiting the zoo or animal theme parks. Based in Kranjska Gora (Slovenia) with Mila & Leo, while Lu lives and goes to school in Germany.

Also focusing on family travel inspiration, sharing destination ideas and useful tips for travelling with kids, including thoughts & personal experiences about traveling as a single mom.

After almost 11 years in Germany, we are back in Slovenia, where we are currently renovating an older house and starting a new business chapter under the name Maison Lenka. We quit our 9-5 jobs back in 2019, which makes it much easier for us to balance our family life between Slovenia, Germany and France. Working on different projects remotely, together with our savings, also allows us longer spontaneous trips with our LR Defender converted into a camper.
